Reiki Treatments
Bookings - Reiki Treatments
We provide Reiki treatments to those who are over 18 years old only.
Reiki Rejuvenation Treatments and Distance Reiki Rejuvenation Treatments last for approximately one hour. Our Mini Reiki Treatments last for approximately fifteen minutes.
Please call the studio to book a Reiki treatment or visit our ‘Treatment & Shop’ page and follow the online instructions.
Payment can be paid online when booking or on the day of your treatment. We take card payments online and card or cash payments on the day of your treatment.
Gift Vouchers can be purchased online by card. If you prefer to pay by cash than please click on ‘Pay in Person’ when booking. Please then contact the studio to arrange visiting to make your cash payment. If you pay online a downloaded voucher can be printed at home. If you prefer to have a Gift Card posted out, then please contact us. Please provide enough time for us to do this (4 days minimum).
Before booking a treatment, please read below information relating to ‘Illnesses Affecting Reiki Treatments’ and ‘Illnesses Exempt from Reiki’:
Illnesses Affecting Reiki Treatments
If you are taking any:
anti-coagulant or cardiac drugs or stimulants,
prone to epileptic seizures and/or taking medication for this,
it is not possible to provide a full hour Reiki treatment. However, a shorter fifteen-minute treatment can be repeated regularly. For further information please see our list of ‘Mini Treatments’ on our ‘Treatments’ webpage.
Illnesses Exempt from Reiki
We are unable to give Reiki treatments to anyone who wears a pacemaker or similar device to regulate their heart rate.
We are unable to provide Reiki treatments to anyone who is suffering from a severe mental disorder, for example severe depression, bipolar, psychosis and schizophrenia.
If you have Deep Vein Thrombosis or suspect you may have DVT, we cannot, unfortunately, provide Reiki.
We cannot offer Reiki on anyone who has a bone fracture, before it has been set in a plaster cast.
If you have a medical illness not listed above and you are uncertain whether Reiki will be suitable, we recommend checking with your GP for professional medical advice prior to booking a Reiki treatment.
Mobile Reiki Treatments
If you would like to receive a hands-on Reiki treatment but cannot make it into the studio, then we offer a mobile Reiki service. Here we can visit you in person, in the comfort of your own home, to carry out a Reiki treatment.
We can provide a full hour ‘Mobile Reiki Rejuvenation Treatment’ or a ‘Mini-Mobile Reiki Rejuvenation Treatment’. We have two service areas, where we can visit, Bury and Greater Manchester. Greater Manchester includes Rochdale, Bolton, Oldham, Manchester, Salford and Trafford. Please visit our ‘Treatments & Shop' page to find out more.
Currently, we are accepting bookings for Mobile Reiki, Mondays to Fridays, at 7pm and during weekends. When booking online for weekdays, please select the 7pm evening time slot. For weekend bookings, please select a treatment time of your choice. Alternatively, you can call or message to make an appointment.
You will need a private room where the treatment can be given. The room must be large enough to accommodate the Reiki bed, with enough space around the Reiki bed to move and provide the treatment. This will need to be a total space of 2.15 metres (7 ft) long and 1 metre (3.3ft) wide. If you are taller than 185cm (6ft) we will need a total length of 240cm (7.9ft), for an additional head rest to be added to the Reiki bed. The Reiki bed is 71cm (2.3ft) wide, if you feel this may not be wide enough for you, then we can add additional arm support, but we would need a total width of 120cm (3.9ft).
Consultation/Consent Form - Reiki Treatments
We request for you to complete a short consultation and consent form before the start of your first treatment and to briefly run over this again when booking any future treatments. Please allow a little extra time for this.
Distance Reiki treatments, we will ask for the consultation form, at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment. We can receive this either by WhatsApp or by email.
Customer Cancellations - Reiki Treatments
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us to let us know, providing as much notice as possible. This will allow us to refill the appointment slot.
The Eden Holistic Health Studio Cancellations of Treatments
For unforeseen circumstances, we may occasionally need to cancel a booking.
In the event of this happening, we will contact you to let know, providing as much notice as possible. You can either reschedule your Reiki treatment, or if you choose to cancel and you have pre-paid, we will provide you with a refund.
Delays - Reiki Treatments
For any unforeseen circumstance causing a delay, please provide as much notice as possible. We may be able to accommodate the delay, if we do not have a later appointment scheduled.
If we cannot accommodate the delay, you may choose to book a new appointment.
By receiving Reiki you understand that:
Reiki is a gentle hands-on energy technique, helping to reduce tension and promote relaxation in the body.
The body does have the capability to heal, for this to happen, complete relaxation is often favourable.
Long term imbalances in the body sometimes require numerous Reiki sessions, to enable the level of relaxation required in the body to restore and heal.
I understand that Reiki does not take the place of medical support. It is recommended to visit my GP for any physical or psychological health condition that I may have.
I understand that Reiki practitioners do not identify medical conditions, conduct medical treatments, prescribe medication, or intervene with the treatment of a qualified medical professional.
I understand that Reiki can complement other medical or psychological care I may be receiving.
Health & Safety
Please inform us of any special requirements you may have, for example, physical problems or sensitivities, which may affect your treatment. We will do our best to support you.
If you experience any discomfort during your Reiki treatment, you are to inform your practitioner straight away.
On occasion, when receiving Reiki, some people can experience what is called a ‘temporary healing crisis’, for example, an emotional release, cold like symptoms, or symptoms of a health condition, that may reoccur. This can also be described as the body detoxifying. This is a natural process, so please do not worry, and if you do feel a little under the weather, then it is advised to keep well hydrated and take time to rest.
Meditation Group
Bookings - Meditation Group
Please pre-book your slot in the meditation group, providing at least 24 hours’ notice. We have a small studio, so we request for places to be booked in advance. To book your place either call, or use the website contact form.
Customer Cancellations - Meditation Group
Please contact the studio to inform us if you cannot make the group, providing at least 24hours notice, this will allow another person to take your place.
The Eden Holistic Health Studio Cancellation of Meditation Group
For unforeseen circumstances, we may occasionally need to cancel the meditation group. In the event of this happening, we will contact you to let you know, providing as much notice as possible. A new meditation group date will be announced on the website.
Health & Safety - Meditation Group
Please inform us of any special requirements you may have, for example, physical problems or sensitivities, which may affect you during the meditation group. We will do our best to support you.
General
Confidentiality & Privacy
We maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all our customers. Your personal information is for our office use only. We can reassure you that we do not share, sell, rent, or distribute any of your personal data to any third parties, accept in the unlikely event that this is requested by law.
Inappropriate Behaviour
Inappropriate behaviour, physical or verbal, will not be tolerated and will result in any person leaving the building immediately.
Please refrain from using alcohol or any recreational drugs. This is likely to have a disruptive impact.
Amendments & Updates
The Eden Holistic Health Studios ‘Terms and Conditions’ may be periodically updated.
We will notify customers of any significant changes.
By continuing to use our services after an update you accept the ‘Terms and Conditions’.
